This is no superhero tale, nor is it science fiction, although it shares elements of both. A perfect story about rural America, the power of love and family and characteristics about ourselves that make ourselves us. This story also brings up strong political opinion that applies even now. The strength in Wrinkle is in its characters and how they wrestle with the classic conflict between good and evil.Wrinkle is a classic, like the Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland. It frightened me as a child . Loved it macey I read several pretty harsh reviews of this book, so I was worried starting it. I will admit I had to trudge my way through the first two chapters (even though I immediately fell in love with Meg and Charles Wallace, their bond just warms my heart) but once I got to chapter three I was hooked. I'm taking college courses on education and was reading the book as a possible resource for a reading lesson I was
