Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.
You are better off with Hancock's "Theory of Elliptic Functions" Jeremy Gross This is a reprint. It reads like a bad photocopy of a library book with writing in the pages.The approach is questionable. On the one hand, it tries to make the subject matter more elementary, simplifying the mathematical presentation, but the simplification is baffling at times, using arguments that meander around their subject matter and confuse the issue.
