From review - "I would recommend this book to anyone who feels a little overwhelmed all of the time - anyone who has suffered from anxiety, depression or chronic illness or pain - in fact, even people who have experienced none of these!"
Recalibrate your life Life changing. Mindfulness should be a part of everyone's life. This book guides you on the path of how to get there. Makes one pause and recalibrate your life.. A. Carlson said WONDERFUL!. I echo what others have said, it opens up a new way of thinking about life. All of it-the good and bad. How you relate to the world as a whole, and the possibilities that awit you. It's not magical and "out there" but rather down to earth and user-friendly.Doesn't matter your religion/lack of religion. It integrates very well with my Christian faith. This book lets you consider things at your own pace and doesn't force anything on you. It deals with your reality and success isn't defined as being 100% happy all the time. Are. Thanks and 5 stars icarus My heartfelt thanks to John Kabat-Zinn. Since first discovering this book in the 1990s when I needed to find pain management strategies other than medication, the new perspectives and meditation techniques have served me well through potentially painful medical procedures, two major spinal surgeries and three other joint surgeries. I have used the meditation techniques during some surgical procedures without needing unaesthetic, much to the surprise of my surgeon. Five stars.
