Just what I wanted! The illustrations inside and on the cover are lovely, and there is some decent space within the margins of the text where I can make notes if I want (I purchased this to help my Japanese reading . すてき! I was really happy to find some of the Japanese Harry Potter books here on Amazon. They can be hard to find (and often prohibitively expensive) in the US. In general, I think the translation of the books into Japanese was done pretty well, although as with any translation from English into a non-Western language, there are some occasional odd translation choices. But it is a better translation than some other young-adult novels I've read in translation from English to Japanese.
