Niki said A Fantastic continuation. I consider myself lucky to read this straight after the prequel, Ghost Star Night. While the sequel could be read as a stand alone I won't recommend it to get the most of this awesome series. And why should you do it when the prequel is such an excellent book by itself. This sequel is longer and not as action packed but which i enjoy just as much because It is more characters and romance driven.. Heir of Starlight Wallace Rinkelhaus This was a page turner. I loved the details of this somewhat perverse culture where souls are bought and sold, stolen, used to power weaponry and assist in magic, and the list goes on. A person's soul is not always his or her own. They are often trapped--as punishment, as a display of power--in animals and birds. Orangutans, gorillas, and little yappy dogs--are potentially inhabitable.Karl suble. "this sequel but it turned out to be a good read." according to AR. Took a bit to get into this sequel but it turned out to be a good read.

Now under the thumb of the West Court, he's been forced to create a terrible weapon and bound to a vow of silence. Once, Drake sacrificed his prized independence to save Adam's soul. Soon they discover that Karl's missing body is only one thread connected to a plot to destroy the kingdom. Except his body has been stolen. And now the desperate race is on to find who-or what-has a finger on the trigger
