I did not realiZe that it was a short I did not realiZe that it was a short story. VMLM said Full of meat and potatoes when it comes to suspense!. Highlighting the country dwellers from the Scottish village Taye, the proceedings in this story unravel surprisingly. A offense has taken place at the town bakery and asked to examine the case is Constable Donald Merriwether. He comes to find out his sweetheart Abigail is the chief suspect. All this is happening as Duncan Dewar is absent on an investigation elsewhere. This is the second book of Victoria’s I have read, and I must say equally as enjoyable. It is a stand-alone, however contains characters included in The Merlon Murders, books 1 and "Full of meat and potatoes when it comes to suspense!" according to VMLM. Not a very long story, though full of meat and pot. One more great book by Miss Victoria Mark I really love these mystery novels by Miss Victoria. I have been reading all of her novels and I grab every one of her books that comes out. Like all other of her books are full of twists and suspense, this one is no different. Duncan Dewar makes you turn pages. And to be honest I liked the fact that it was a shorter one relatively. I really liked this growing trend in kindle where the authors are moving towards shorter books in every genre. It's not just about the quantity anymore but how much quality you can put into these words. A big thanks to the author!
