An amazing adventure! Phoebe (The Delphic Oracle) and the Medallion An amazing adventure! Phoebe (The Delphic Oracle) and the Medallion of Gaia is a story within a story told from the ancient past that reaches the confines of the distant future. The daring tale has a little something for everyone—sci-fi, fantasy, mythology, history, magic, action, and even humor. Phoebe, the Delphic Oracle, is searching for her missing medallion. She hires a private detective, Sam Diamond, to aid her on this mission. With the help of ancient spirits, reincarnated souls, magic, and even a robot, they battle assassins, ghosts, and a malfunctioning robot to find the medallion. The author threads toget. "Great adventure!" according to Bill Ward. I have really enjoyed reading this series and I particularly like the mixture of historical fantasy with the present. I have no idea what genre you would describe this as because there is such a mixture of fantasy, history, adventure and a great mystery story. Phoebe is now like an old friend and Sam Diamond as the private detective evoked great images of Sam Spade and others! The author is obviously very knowledgeable about history and weaves a magical story that still manages to retain a degree of realism.Strongly recommended but start at the beginning of the series to get the maximum pleasure!. philly_dragonfly said Fascinating. This book is a great read for those interested in historical fantasy. It makes you want to research even further into the characters presented in the story, and go even deeper into their world. There are many plot twists and turns that leave you wondering what is going to happen next, plenty of action, and timelessly thoughtful insights into mankind's nature.
