Eric P. Patty said What can I say? It's a text by Rudin therefore, PERFECT!!!. This is the text that is properly referred to as "baby Rudin" (as opposed to "papa Rudin"). While it is better to have had at least a senior level course in Real/Complex Analysis and maybe in Foundations (Set Theory, Logic, etc.) PRIOR to using the text, it is by no means necessary. Rudin uses just the right combination of teaching and intellectual "gap crossing" to provide the maximum educational benefit (mathematically s. Not useful for developing analysis skills. This is not the edition used by most academic programs, and is a difficult text to read. This does not offer an intuitive way to learn. This is a text meant for people who have already mastered analysis, not for those trying to wrap their heads around it. Not a good reference tool.. Five Stars Harlan Fretheim The best beginning analysis book one can buy. Also, see the other reviews!
Also, there is a very small notch on the right side of the first three pages. Pages are starting to yellow, slightly. No marks through out the book.
