About the AuthorRichard P. He was also one of the most famous and beloved figures of the twentieth century, both in physics and as a public intellectual.. Feynman was Richard Chace Tolman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology. He was awarded the 1965 Nobel Prize for his work on the development of quantum field theory

The experiment turned out to be hugely successful, spawning a book that has remained a definitive introduction to physics for decades. Timeless and collectible, the lectures are essential reading, not just for students of physics but for anyone seeking an introduction to the field from the inimitable Feynman.. "The whole thing was basically an experiment," Richard Feynman said late in his career, looking back on the origins of his lectures. Ranging from the most basic principles of Newtonian physics through such formidable theories as general relativity and quantum mechanics, Feynman's lectures stand as a monument of clear exposition and deep insight. Now, we are reintroducing the printed books to the trade, fully corrected, for the first time ever, and in collaboration with Caltech

Not as good as previous print. M. Lu This version is printed on glossy paper, so it is not easy to eyes, the print also is lighter compared with my friend's older version. So if you want to read it instead of just collecting it, you perhaps should buy version from 2005 or 1971.. A contrarian view LeegleechN I have a college level background in physics and am reading these to fill in gaps in my knowledge. I have learned many new things already (3/4 of the way through book 1); however I think it is worth stating a few potential issues that haven't been elucidated by other reviews. Ultimately I am happy that I bought the books but I would not recommend them to others without reservation.First, I do not think these books are suitable for someone who does not already have background in the material. They move v. "Sad unusable version of a classic." according to Charles E. Bouldin. Sad unusable version of a classic. I read the reviews about the thin font, the shiny paper and the ridiculous margins, and thought, this must have been fixed since 2011!Nope.This version is almost unreadable. The outer margins are ridiculously wide, so that half the page is blank, and the inner margin is so close to the spine of the book that it is very awkward to read this magnificent work.Don't buy this. Shop for the older edition, pay a higher price and deal with the errata. I'm really sorry to say t
