I soon graduated to the control line models that were powered by small gasoline engines. When I was eight or nine years old I started building model airplanes. I don't know where this fascination came from, but it was always there. I invite you to come along with me, and share my expe-riences as I learned to fly, built my flying time, and achieved more advanced pilot credentials, through high school and college. That one flight convinced me that being a pilot was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and it led to a very enjoyable and exciting forty-five year career in aviation. A great read if you enjoy aviation! Chuck U. Farley I would always loved to have been a pilot. Unfortunately, I never had any opportunity to do so. But this man did, and I loved reading his story. It was very entertaining and interesting. I saw in the blurb that he had a 45 year career, but this book only covers from his childhood, through high school and college, up until he finally got accepted in the Air Force. It ends there. But he started flying at 15 so there was still plenty to write about. I do wish it carried on furth
