The characters were so clearly described it was easy to emmerse myself into the story well written book on history of new Zealand. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The characters were so clearly described it was easy to emmerse myself into the story .. "Four Stars" according to C Ward. Interesting insight into early Marlborough settlement. Also a glimpse of the workings of the NZ Company and the Walefields!!
