Great read for youth 10+ A quick moving-action packed journey to another time. A story that left me wanting more and eager for the next adventure. Characters that are real, filled with their own promise and pain that youth will find easy to relate to. Boys and girls will quickly discover their own hero between the pages. Excited to have my 11 year old read this book.. What fun! EFR Mind you, I'm an adult woman, and thus probably not the intended audience for this book. But I enjoyed it anyway. Why? Because it's a good, solid YA story, complete with nonstop action and some wonderful characters (Hadley, a young warrior who's learned all her moves from kung fu flicks and cartoons, is my total favorite action hero ever). The writing is capable and lean, and I have to say, while I doubted the author's use of first per. "My son loved it!!" according to Ingelise. Purchased for my son and he loved it! He was instantly captivated which is huge because my son is not a big fan of reading. Keeping him entertained cover to cover speaks volumes to the author. When I asked him to sum it up in one word, "AWESOME" was the first word that came mind! He can't wait for next summer! Thank you!
