Kathy Day said Heartbreaking on many levels, but Victoria gives me hope!. Fascinating story about the life of a very ill young man. I just finished reading it, and I highly recommend it. His mother did everything she could for her son, but he still went off meds and had a psychotic break that resulted in tragedy. There are a lot of lessons in this story, and tons of info about schizophrenia. This story is about the love of a mother, and how helpless we all are against brain disorders like schizophrenia. While the community gathered in support of the fallen officers and their families, Victoria Feagin mourned from a separate and isolated level. A quaint community that could be anybody's hometown was shattered in the early afternoon of that beautiful day.“Officers down!” Two of the most dreaded words in law enforcement. Two officers shot and killed before they could even get out of their cruisers. Or did it? What really happened that day in "anybody's hometown," Alabama? It would be tragedy a-plenty if the story were to end there, but it doesn't. An entire community reeled from the devastating blow. For one woman, the devastation was particularly cuttingsurgicalher own heart extracted by the horror of the murders.
