Photographs culled from company archives and private collections are accompanied by detailed captions that describe the development and production of the vehicle, and in the process comprise a comprehensive timeline detailing the evolution of Beetles, Buses, Karmann-Ghias, Rabbits, Sciroccos, Golfs, Dashers, Things, Jettas, Kubelwagens, Passats and more.

Excelent Overview of VW History I recieved this book as a gift from a friend. It digs far back into VW's history from its conception by Ferdinand Porche through today's modern line-up. It is definatly a readable book with plenty of pictures to show the progression of model changes as well as concept cars and many cars from the VW lineup that people are unaware even exist. Well worth picking up if you are. Inaccurate data on some cars Carlos A. There are some grotesque errors. For instance, the most beautiful VW of the early 70s as per Germany and US VW was the Brazilian all steel car SP-1 (1600cc only 88 made) and SP-2 (1700cc about 10K made) where the author says the car is made in Fiberglass. Never was, not even as a prototype. I am getting one for my collection. Like the book but a better books is Volkswagens. All Other Keith Seume is all over the VW scene. His books are a pleasure to read.
